About the cover: Spiral-maze Fusion, Aidan Meehan

This design is a combination of keypattern and spiral, such as may be found in some carved stones in Ireland, but not in manuscripts. I felt this was an area that could be profitably explored by an inventive Celtic artist, as the possibilities are endless for a new repertorire of ornaments fusing both spirals and maze pattern motifs.
